Chris and Jessica Jackson joined Hope City Church (formerly Grace Church of La Verne) ministry team in 2007. They have been married for over twenty-eight years and have three beautiful daughters: Amber Hope, Madelyn Joy, and Alexis Grace (who is with the Lord in heaven — read Alexis’ story). Chris has degrees in Theology, Leadership, and Spiritual Formation, he has written several books, and has taught at seminaries and ministry schools locally and internationally.

Hope City Church is led through a partnership among elders, pastors, and church staff. The three groups work together to discern God’s leading for our church and then to plan and execute toward that leading. The elders provide leadership and oversight for the spiritual well-being, ministry, and business of the church. The elders have the final say over financial and spiritual leadership concerns. The senior pastor is a member of the elder board. We generally do everything by consensus while abiding by the admonition from Scripture: “Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ.” (Ephesians 5:21, RSV).
The current Elder Board consists of: Dave Weldon (co-chair), Carina Menjivar (co-chair), Lor Riihimaki, Gregory Gillam, Jonathan Arias, Kathy Sanders, Ulises Grajales, Zee Duron, Ken Cronquist, Karin Fite, Andrew Barton, and Chris Jackson (Senior Pastor).
